“Let Us Lead by Serving Others”
The Classical Charter Schools of Whiteville’s National Junior Beta Club is an organization for students in grades 6 – 8. The purpose of the Beta Club is to “promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, leadership and service among middle school students.” Beta Club Members participate in service projects that are beneficial to the school, teachers, students, and the community. Although there are some universal requirements, each chapter has its own criteria for membership. Please feel free to click on the By-Laws to learn more about our requirements.
The Beta Club was founded by Dr. John Harris, a professor at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1934. Since then, more than 8,750 clubs have been formed both nationally and internationally. It has become the nation’s largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization.
We are very excited to have the opportunity to develop the leaders of tomorrow, help students achieve their goals, and prepare them for future success in their chosen paths.
